No grill - No problem! I just drizzled some boneless skinless chicken thighs with Yoshida's Marinade, popped it in the oven and Voila! Oven BBQ Chicken! Cut up some Chinese Broccoli and sauteed it with garlic, red onions and a bit of oyster sauce - Dinner is served!

Daichan
Daichan is a little hole in the wall Japanese restaurant in Studio City - We love the ambiance of this place because they make you feel like you're actually in Japan...The closest we could get to a Poke Bowl (Hawaiian Sashimi bowl with steam rice) in the valley so we decided to get our poke fix...
We both got the Salmon Poke Bowl which is salmon sashimi over steam white rice topped with seaweed and lettuce with a side of ginger...It so good I ate the whole bowl!
We appatized on squid sauteed in garlic sauce - it was almost too flavorful that it taste better when you top it on steam rice! Very delish!

This is eggplant glazed in a miso yaki type of sauce...kinda on the swwet side so we ate it with rice to offset the sweetness...This was heat in disguise, it really burnt my tongue! |

Fab Dogs
We had a craving for a Chicago dog so we drove over to Fab Dogs on Victory and Tampa...This place has killer hotdogs from all over the world! The owner supposedly travels and brings back popular dogs from places that he visits... We had both the Chicago Dog and the Manhattan Dog with a side of garlicy garlic fries!

Food Trucks!
Welcome to our blog! This is our first blog ever!! We will bring you great food finds and tasty meals that we cook up - Follow us and find out what we're chompin on =)
We decided to attend the Santa Anita Food Truck Festival a few weeks back and started taking pictures of what we ate. There were about 80 trucks there, but we were only able to eat at about 4 or 5 of them...This was a great opportiunity to try different foods that these trucks offerred all conveniently located in one place, but our stomaches could only handle so much...Here is a snapshop of what we had...
Vietnamese Nachos and Tacos from Mandolin Grill - We had bbq chicken topped with pickled veggies (radish and carrots) drizzled with a sweet and creamy sarracha type sauce and topped with cilanto...Yum!
We also stopped and tried some Indian Cuisine which very delish! This is a Naan Sandwich from Naan Stop - Gorund chicken kabobs in naan bread drizzled with a yogurt dressing topped with spinach.
Of course we tried a Filipino food truck Tapa Boy LA and this was a crispy Adobo chicken bowl on top of a bed of garlic fried rice, topped with an over-easy egg and side pickled vegetables (atchara) Very tasty!
Of course after we ate all this food, we forgot to take pictures of the bbq pulled chicken sliders we had from the BarbiesQ - It was mini bbq pulled chicken in a sweet bun drizzled with with bbq sauce..Mmmm Good!
